July 20th 1969....."That's one small step for a man, one giant leap for mankind."
I remember it so well. I lived every moment of the landing as it happened. There was no thought of the past or the future...Just the "Now"
It was so Major, so wonderful and I was so proud...and the moment Neil Armstrong said those magic, amazing words, I felt a moment of pure Joy.
I took this photograph during that long-ago summer, and the memories of that time are very fresh and living today. It reminds me that Joy can be found in the simplest of things, as well as within our greatest achievements.
Perhaps the greatest thing we can aspire to and achieve is Joy.
